A heavyweight bout between Linton Vassell and Marcelo Golm is off of Friday’s Bellator 262 in Uncasville, Conn., due to an undisclosed injury, the company announced Monday. Golm told MMA Fighting he was informed that Vassell suffered an injury.
Bellator 262 airs live on Showtime and features a flyweight championship clash between undefeated champion Juliana Velasquez and Denise Kielholtz in the main event. A bantamweight bout between Matheus Mattos (12-2-1) and Cee Jay Hamilton has been promoted to the main card with the cancellation of Vassell-Golm.
