Brazilian bantamweight prospect Leandro Higo has signed an exclusive, multi-fight contract with Bellator MMA.
Higo confirmed the deal via Instagram on Thursday following an initial report from MMAFighting.com. A date and opponent for Higo’s promotional debut are currently unknown.
“I’m very happy to say I’m a Bellator fighter,” Higo wrote. “I was very impressed with the organization [when he cornered Patricky Freire against Saad Awad at Bellator 141], and I couldn’t be happier with the plans they have for the future. I’m looking for another belt now.
