‘Let me bow out right’ - Cerrone won’t retire despite TKO loss to Morono, winless in six bouts

The last time Donald Cerrone won a fight was in May 2019, when he had a Fight of the Night-worthy performance against Al Iaquinta. What followed was a disappointing streak of four straight losses and a No Contest verdict.

“Cowboy” once again tasted defeat on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 26 courtesy of late replacement opponent Alex Morono. But even if retirement would be his next sensible move, the 38-year-old veteran isn’t looking to go down that road just yet.

“No. Absolutely not. No way. I’ll never go out like this,” Cerrone told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto in a post-fight interview.
