Brock Lesnar is scheduled to meet the Nevada State Athletic Commission on August 23, but Jon Jones’ hearing has yet to be announced.
Both men failed random, out-of-competition drug tests conducted by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), testing positive for the same estrogen blocker: clomiphene. ‘Bones’ also flagged for letrozole, another anti-estrogen agent.
Jones, who captured the interim light heavyweight title after beating Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 197, was pulled from his title unification bout with Daniel Cormier after the results of his June 16 test came back just days before UFC 200. Lesnar, on the other hand, went on to beat Mark Hunt in the co-main event because the results of his test didn’t come back until July 15, one week after UFC 200.
