Leon Edwards calls for UFC 242 co-headlining bout against Rafael dos Anjos

Big news came in earlier this week when it was announced that undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov would take on interim champ Dustin Poirier in a title unification bout at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.

No other match-ups have been announced, but streaking UFC welterweight contender Leon Edwards would like to fight former lightweight titleholder Rafael dos Anjos in the co-main event.

Edwards, who called out RDA in a separate post last month, suggested the bout in response to the UFC’s official announcement of Khabib vs. Poirier.

Edwards, 27, is on a seven-fight win streak and holds notable wins over Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone and Gunnar Nelson.
