For LC Davis, the sacrifice for putting on what some consider to be the fight of the year in 2015 was the ability to eat solid foods. Davis fought Hideo Tokoro back in March at Bellator 135, a raucous back and forth affair that ended in a split decision that the judges saw in his favor. Yet in his post-fight speech, Davis’ mouth looked like a Picasso. His bottom teeth had been pushed back and were completely misaligned, like piano keys that just absorbed the shock of a cannonball.
Worse, he was oblivious to it.
