Former UFC heavyweight Konstantin Erokhin received a one-year suspension at a Wednesday hearing of the Nevada Athletic Commission as a result of a failed drug test for the anabolic steroid drostanolone at The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale on Dec. 11 in Las Vegas, NV.
Erokhin (9-3) tested positive for the banned substance in a pre-fight, in-competition test ahead of a sluggish unanimous decision loss against Gabriel Gonzaga. The drug screening was administered by Quest Diagnostics at the behest of the NAC, rather than USADA. The UFC released Erokhin following the loss.
Erokhin, 34, was a no-show at Wednesday's hearing.
