Less than three weeks out from Bellator 185, the card has lost half of its co-main event.

Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal has pulled up his slated Bellator 185 bout with former promotional light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary due to an undisclosed knee injury. MMAJunkie was first to report the withdrawal on Monday.

Bellator 185 is scheduled for Oct. 20 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., headlined by Gegard Mousasi's debut in the promotion, facing former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko.

The 36-year-old Lawal has had a history of injury issues, most notably knee problems that have required several surgeries.
