On Sunday, Bellator president Scott Coker announced on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” that Ferguson will rematch James Thompson on July 16 in London. The sequels for the lineup didn’t stop there, as Coker also confirmed a welterweight rematch between bitter rivals Paul Daley and Josh Koscheck for the show.
Ferguson posted a TKO victory over Thompson at “EliteXC: Primetime” in 2008. It was the former street fighter’s third professional MMA fight. He’s coming off February’s less-than-spectacular TKO win against Dhafir Harris.
It was announced last month that Ferguson had flunked his pre-fight drug test for the steroid nandrolone, as well as elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio.
