Officials announced Tuesday that Khonry Gracie will fight Vera in a welterweight bout on the preliminary portion of Bellator 225 on Aug. 24 at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgestone, Connecticut.
This will be Vera’s second pro bout. In his debut this past June at Bellator 222, he was submitted in the first round by Khonry’s cousin, Robson Gracie Jr.
Unlike most of his family, Khonry, the son of the legendary Royce Gracie, did not have a storied career in competitive jiu-jitsu before trying his hand at MMA.
