Amir Khan seems serious about a switch from boxing to MMA. Last week, the Olympic silver medalist posed inside the Octagon, claiming that 'UFC training' had started. This week, Khan is calling out UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor in hopes of a potential mega-fight with the Irishman.
Khan previously claimed he'd need a full-year of MMA training before making his debut, but the Bolton-born fighter now believes just six months would do the job.
According to Edward Chaykovsky of Boxing Scene, Khan says he'd like to train for six months in preparation for a fight with McGregor.
