Another Russian prospect has joined the Professional Fighters League roster. The company announced on Thursday the signing of unbeaten 135-pounder Umar Nurmagomedov, cousin of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Nurmagomedov fought once under the PFL banner in 2018, defeating Saidyokub Kakhramonov via decision. After adding a couple of wins to his record, he returns to PFL to face Sidemar Honorio at the PFL 6 card in Atlantic City on Aug. 8.
The 22-year-old talent racked up a perfect 10-0 in less than three years as a professional fighter, stopping four of his opponents by way of submission.
