One piece of the puzzle has now been solved. Today at the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s hearing, the settlement agreement that Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted was reviewed and accepted in regards to his actions after his UFC 229 win over Conor McGregor. So here’s what punishment Khabib is looking at:
- A nine-month suspension retroactive to the night of the fight (October 6th, 2018). That can be lowered to six months if Khabib will participate in a public service announcement designed around anti-bullying. It remains to be seen if he’ll actually film and release that as per the commission’s request, but if he does, he would be eligible to return to action in early April.
