Khabib Nurmagomedov injured, fight at UFC 187 with Donald Cerrone canceled

Another featured bout of the highly anticipated upcoming UFC 187 pay-per-view card next month has been cancelled, as Khabib Nurmagomedov has been forced out of his No. 1 contender’s match at lightweight with Donald Cerrone with an injury.

MMAjunkie.com reported the injury on Wednesday night, although UFC officials have not confirmed this.

The injury wasn’t confirmed, but was reportedly another knee injury.

Nurmagomedov (22-0) is a very anticipated lightweight, currently ranked No. 2 in the UFC.  He suffered a knee injury last year, and has been forced to sit on the sidelines since defeating current champion Rafael dos Anjos via dominant decision at UFC on FOX 11 last April.
