Kevin Lee is returning to lightweight after a one-bout stint at 170 pounds.
“The Motown Phenom” will take on Gregor Gillespie in a 155-pound affair at UFC 244. The promotion confirmed the booking on Tuesday following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com. UFC 244 goes down on Nov. 2 at Madison Square Garden and is headlined by Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz for the “BMF” title.
Lee moved up in weight following a loss to Al Iaquinta at UFC Milwaukee last December. In his 170-pound debut he took on Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC Rochester and lost by submission.
