Shortly after missing weight for his latest fight, Kevin Lee has issued an apology.
Lee took to Instagram on Friday following the early weigh-ins for UFC Atlantic City, where he weighed in at 157 pounds, one pound over the lightweight limit (which has a one-pound allowance). Both he and Edson Barboza, his opponent in Saturday’s main event at Boardwalk Hall, have agreed to proceed with the bout and Lee will forfeit 20 percent of his purse to Barboza.

Lee apologized to the UFC, company president Dana White, and Barboza, writing that he “just ran outta time”.
