A highly anticipated welterweight fight at UFC 264 has been scrapped after Kevin Lee suffered an injury that has forced him out of his upcoming bout against Sean Brady.
Brady revealed the news on Instagram with additional sources confirming the news to MMA Fighting on Thursday.
“Unfortunately I will not be fighting Kevin Lee July 10,” Brady wrote. “From my understanding he has suffered an injury and had to pull out of the fight. My team is hoping to rebook the fight for August.”
In a separate statement provided to MMA Fighting, Brady added that he wasn’t interested in facing a replacement opponent at UFC 264 and preferred to wait for Lee or another top-15 ranked opponent to become available.
