The professional and Bellator MMA debut of 'Baby Slice', or Kevin Ferguson, Jr., will have to wait.
Ferguson, the son of famed YouTube sensation turned MMA fighter Kimbo Slice, was set to compete at Bellator 160 on Friday opposite Johnny Tomasian in a welterweight contest. That bout was previously scheduled to take place on the preliminary card.
Instead, that will have to late. In a statement provided to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani, Ferguson reveals he's been injured in training and off Friday's card.
"My role in the Team Body Shop Bellator takeover hit a bit of a snag over the weekend while training, and I'm sad to say that my Bellator debut will have to wait a little longer," Ferguson tells MMA Fighting, revealing a MCL injury is the cause of his sidelining.
