UFC newcomer Kevin Croom made his octagon debut on one day’s notice and pulled off an improbable submission win in just 31 seconds, but that didn’t save him from a suspension handed down by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
On Wednesday during the commission’s monthly meeting, Croom was suspended for 4 1⁄2 months after he tested positive for marijuana following a win over Roosevelt Roberts on Sept. 12.
As part of an adjudication agreement with the state, Croom will be eligible to return to action after Jan. 26, 2021 and he will have to pay an $1,800 fine as well as $145.
