The bond forged between Kendall Grove and Tito Ortiz on Season 3 of “The Ultimate Fighter” continues to this day, more than nine years after the Hawaiian emerged as the middleweight champion of the reality show.
The lanky middleweight told Sherdog.com that Ortiz, who served as a coach on “TUF 3,” asked him to help prepare for his light heavyweight title fight against Liam McGeary at Bellator "Dynamite" on Saturday. The 6-foot-6 Grove’s size and skill set -- he is known for his active guard and has 10 career triumphs via submission -- made him an ideal training partner for Ortiz.
