At UFC 200 back in July 2016, Kelvin Gastelum faced former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks at a 172-pound catchweight due to Hendricks missing weight. In the biggest fight of his career, Gastelum was able to outpoint Hendricks to win a unanimous decision.
Now, eight months later, Gastelum is set to face MMA veteran Vitor Belfort in the main event of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 106 in Fortaleza, Brazil. The fight with Belfort marks the second middleweight bout for Gastelum since returning to the division back in December.
