Kavanagh: Conor McGregor’s hands ‘are going to be a lot better’ when he returns to the UFC

For a good amount of time, Conor McGregor briefly turned his back on mixed martial arts to put his sole focus on boxing. In those weeks that he was preparing for his August 26th fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., “The Notorious” was more about sharpening his jabs, crosses, hooks, and uppercuts, as his kicking, wrestling, and grappling training took a backseat.

McGregor is now primed to make his still undetermined UFC return. And even with that layoff from MMA training, his head coach John Kavanagh is still expecting great things from the 155-pound champion.
