Yesterday, rising UFC welterweight contender Kamaru Usman revealed that he had signed a contract to challenge Tyron Woodley for the welterweight title.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ posted a picture of the signed bout agreement on Twitter, telling ‘T-Wood’ that he’ll see him in the Octagon ‘soon.’
MMYNYTT’s Damon Martin reports that the proposed title fight is being targeted for UFC 235 on March 2 in Las Vegas, per sources.
Although Usman has signed his end of the deal, Woodley hasn’t revealed whether he has even been offered a fight contract, let alone signed it.
The reigning welterweight champion is currently nursing a thumb injury and has promised to defend his title against Colby Covington upon his return.
