Kamaru Usman overtakes Jon Jones for top spot in UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has overtaken Jon Jones in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings and is now the No. 1-ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Usman, 34, knocked Jones off the top spot after the UFC updated its rankings following the results of Saturday’s UFC 266 main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega.

Volkanovski also leapfrogged City Kickboxing teammate and reigning UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya following his unanimous decision win over Ortega.

Kamaru Usman has supplanted Jon Jones as the top men's pound for pound fighter in the newly released UFC rankings.
