No one would have guessed it while watching him take Tyron Woodley to the woodshed for five rounds, but Kamaru Usman won the UFC welterweight title with a fractured foot.
Usman turned in a performance for the ages on Saturday night in the co-main event of UFC 235 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “The Nigerian Nightmare” did virtually whatever he wanted inside the Octagon as he dominated Woodley from start to finish. Usman landed several clean punches to the head, rocked the defending champ and controlled Woodley on the ground.
And he did it all with only three good limbs.
