One Championship's return to Indonesia now has a main event.
Former promotional flyweight champion Kairat Akhmetov will headline One's “Total Victory” card, squaring off with the Philippines' Geje Eustaquio in a 135-pound main event. The event is scheduled for Sept. 16 at the Jakarta Convention Center in the Indonesian capital.
The 29-year-old Akhmetov won the One flyweight title, then contested at 125 pounds, in November 2015 by defeating Brazilian Adrian Moraes via split decision. “The Kazakh” was then forced to the sidelines for 20 months after re-aggravating a back injury.
