There is a new fighter in Bellator's heavyweight division. A former K-1 Grand Prix champion, at that. A blackbelt world champion in Kyokushin Karate, as well, Brazilian Ewerton Teixeira has just signed a contract with the promotion, as it was reported by Combate.
With a perfect 3-0 MMA record, The 33 year old has been out of the circuit since 2013 when he defeated Eduardo Pezao by unanimous decision in Brazil. Before that, he bested Edinaldo Novaes by unanimous decision and knocked out Raul Bazanes.
In his K-1 run, he became famous in 2008 when he defeated Kyotaro Fujimoto, Tsuoyoshi Nakasako and Tsotumo Nakahagi in the same night to conquer the K-1 Japan Grand Prix.
