A previously scheduled heavyweight bout between dos Santos and Ngannou has been moved from the UFC 239 pay-per-view card to the UFC Minneapolis main event, according to UFC officials Tuesday.
A rematch between former welterweight champions Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler was the previous main event, but Woodley withdrew from the June 29 headliner due to a hand injury.
This will now be dos Santos’s fourth straight main event booking after headlining shows in Wichita, Kansas, Adelaide, Australia, and Boise, Idaho. The former heavyweight champion won all three of those bouts and has seen his hand raised in four of his last five appearances.
