Judge involved with shady Fedor win at EFN 50 suspended following Fabio Maldonado appeal

Good news for Fabio Maldonado and his fans in the wake of the Brazilian's controversial decision loss to Fedor Emelianenko last month in St. Petersburg, Russia (replay). Despite having his appeal shot down immediately following the fight, The World MMA Association is giving "The Iron Hillbilly" a second look.

While also removing some of the biased parties involved with the EFN 50 scoring, according to Bloody Elbow:

The WMMA also revealed that they would temporarily suspend WMMAA's head judge Radmir Gabdullin from his position. Gabdullin, who is a longtime friend and training partner of Fedor, publicly denied Maldonado's appeal to the Russian MMA Union in the fight's immediate aftermath.
