In an incredible display of high-level boxing, Josh Taylor (16-0, 12 KOs) became a unified junior welterweight champion with a majority decision win over Regis Prograis (24-1, 20 KOs) in front of a packed house at The O2 Arena in London, England. Scotland’s Taylor was the slight underdog against his American foe, but Taylor’s superior workrate, power punching, and punishing work on the inside was what propelled him to victory. Prograis had a strong finish to the contest and was able to find a home for his jab throughout the bout, it just wasn’t enough against someone he termed as “the better man” in the ring.
