In an unusual move, Irish UFC lightweight Joseph Duffy announced last week that he will be leaving the UFC after fighting out his contract. He has one fight left on his deal, and now he has an opponent for that final bout - Reza Madadi.
MMA Nytt confirmed the bout, which will take place at a UFC Fight Night show in London in March.
Duffy (16-2, 3-1 UFC), one of three men to defeat Conor McGregor, was trying to negotiate a new deal with the promotion but couldn’t come to an agreement. He last competed in July, when he submitted Mitch Clarke in just 25 seconds.
