Joseph Benavidez didn’t even wait for an entire week before accepting another fight.
Per Los Angeles Times’ Lance Pugmire, the two-time flyweight title challenger signed up to fight undefeated rising contender Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 233 just a few days after his win at TUF 28 Finale, on November 30.
In a fight he won without much trouble, Joseph Benavidez (26-5) defeated Alex Perez by way of TKO in the first round, in Las Vegas. The victory made the 34-year-old bounce back from a split decision loss to Sergio Pettis back June, which was Joseph’s sole loss in his last eight outings.
