Many fighters have called out Jose Aldo right after his impressive UFC Fortaleza win over Renato Moicano last Saturday, and it appears that Alexander Volkanovski is the frontrunner for the spot.
The former UFC featherweight king is coming off TKO wins over Jeremy Stephens and Moicano, his first back-back-to-back finishes since 2009, while Volkanovski improved his winning streak to 16 with a second-round finish of Chad Mendes in December.
Aldo has made it pretty clear that he wants to hang up his gloves by the end of 2019, competing in all three UFC events that are planned for this year in Brazil.
