RIO DE JANEIRO -- Jose Aldo wants to get his UFC contract terminated so he can walk away from MMA and do other things, and he’s flying to Las Vegas with his manager and lawyer to have a meeting with the UFC brass.
Talking to the media on Wednesday morning in Rio de Janeiro, Aldo said he hopes to "solve everything" in this meeting, and that means getting his contract cancelled. The current interim featherweight champion said he’s flying to Las Vegas on Oct. 19.
"I’m waiting. That’s the situation now," Aldo said. "We have a meeting scheduled to solve everything, but everything has been said already.
