Jose Aldo accepts the challenge. After being called out by slugger Jeremy Stephens, the former UFC featherweight champion’s coach and head of Nova Uniao Andre Pederneiras announced Aldo took the fight. Later on, Jose himself confirmed it as well.
As Aldo explained to Combate, he would like to take on Stephens in Singapore on June 23, but they are still waiting for confirmation from the UFC.
“We already accepted a fight against Jeremy Stephens. We’re expecting it to be in June in Singapore. We’re just waiting for confirmation. The venue and the opponent are certain, they just have to make the decision.
