Earlier this month, UFC president Dana White confirmed that former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz would return to the Octagon against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 235 in March.
According to Diaz, however, who hasn’t fought since his decision loss to Anderson Silva in 2015 (later overturned to a No Contest after Silva tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs), the MMA veteran hasn’t accepted the fight and feels he’s being lowballed by the UFC.
”I think it’s rude of the UFC to try and lowball me and expect me to negotiate a deal while I’m training for a fight,” Diaz said in a text mesage earlier this week.
