You’d be hard-pressed to find a fan who wouldn’t at least by slightly intrigued by a matchup between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
Jones knows it too. The 31-year-old has often discussed a potential jump up in divisions, but has spent his entire UFC career competing at 205 pounds. Though a few light heavyweight challengers like Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker have built momentum in recent months, it sounds like “Bones” is setting his sights on bigger fish.
Namely Miocic, who has yet to be booked since a loss to Daniel Cormier cost him his UFC title and snapped his UFC record of three consecutive heavyweight title defenses.
