Just when Jon Jones (pictured) thought things couldn’t get any worse, they just did. Following Monday’s felony arrest for hit-and-run which resulted in a pregnant female breaking her arm, the UFC has stripped its most decorated light heavyweight champion of his belt for violating the UFC Athlete Code of Conduct Policy.
The UFC has also indefinitely suspended the troubled 27-year-old in order to “allow Jones time to focus on his pending legal matters.”
Police also discovered marijuana in Jones’ abandoned rental car.
“UFC feels strongly that its athletes must uphold certain standards both in and out of the Octagon,” the UFC expressed in Tuesday’s official statement.
