Jon Jones open to future grappling matches, but not against champ Daniel Cormier

Jon Jones is looking to compete in more grappling matches in the future, but he’s not open to grapple long-time rival and current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

Jones, who’s currently suspended from MMA competition by USADA due to a doping violation, is competing in a grappling match at Sunday’s Submission Underground 2 against recently retired MMA legend Dan Henderson.

Jones is hoping to defeat Henderson on Sunday, and plans to return to the mat, but this time against some closer to his size.

“I’d like to be a part of this FloGrappling family, and to do lots of events, and use this platform to kind of give a little back to the jiu-jitsu community which is a very important community in mixed martial arts,” Jones said on Thursday during the SUG 2 media conference call.
