Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, fresh off his submission victory over Dan Henderson at last weekend’s Submission Underground grappling tournament, will (eventually) make his return to mixed martial arts (MMA).
And promotion president Dana White, who no longer wants to take chances with the embattled fighter, will have nothing to do with it.
That’s because “Bones” now answers to Ari Emanuel, who supplanted former UFC head cheese Lorenzo Fertitta when WME | IMG purchased the combat sports organization earlier this summer for an estimated $4 billion.
