It has been seven months since Jon Jones failed his UFC 214 in-competition drug test when he tested positive for Turinabol. By the end of February, the former UFC light heavyweight champion will finally receive his sanctions from the California State Athletic Commission.
As noted on the official CSAC website, Jones’ case will be discussed in a hearing scheduled for February 27th in Anaheim. The said inquiry will determine the specifics of the fighter’s penalty, which will likely be a suspension and a fine.
After the CSAC hearing, Jones will still need to go to arbitration with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), which his manager Malki Kawa expects to be settled by the end of the month, as well.
