Two fighters, including former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks, missed their respective marks on the scale.
Hendricks, who is facing Tim Boetsch in a middleweight bout in the co-main event, clocked 188 pounds on the scale. That’s two pounds over the limit for a non-title middleweight affair.
The scrap is now a 188-pound catchweight contest.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Hendricks has been overweight. However, the two previous occasions occurred at welterweight.
Ironically, Hendricks was boasting this week that he should have made he move to middleweight earlier in his career because the weigh cut wasn’t as draining on his body.
