While his post-fight celebration at UFC 235 was more physically taxing than the fight itself, Johnny Walker won’t be out for too long.
Walker injured his shoulder doing “the worm” in the Octagon this past Saturday following a 36-second knockout of Misha Cirkunov in a preliminary light heavyweight affair. Walker received his MRI results on Monday and will be sidelined for approximately four weeks to rehab a minor shoulder injury, manager Lucas Lutkus told ESPN. Walker initially received a 180-day suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission pending doctor clearance.
Lutkus added that Walker is targeting a May or June return and is targeting a matchup with three-time title challenger Alexander Gustafsson.
