UFC lightweight striker John Makdessi will fight Abel Trujillo at UFC on FOX 26, but ‘The Bull’ was originally scheduled to square off with Sage Northcutt in July.
Makdessi, however, was forced to pull out of the Northcutt bout due to injury and, until now, the 32-year-old had kept quiet on what exactly led to his withdrawal from UFC 214.
Speaking to Amy Kaplan of FanSided in a recent interview, Makdessi claimed that UFC prospect Mickey Gall was responsible for his injury. According to Makdessi, Gall went too hard in sparring and landed a suplex.
