An undisclosed injury has forced Joanne Calderwood out of her strawweight clash against Bec Rawlings at UFC Sydney. As a result, UFC newcomer Jessica-Rose Clark has stepped up on late notice to face Rawlings on Nov. 19 in the co-main event in Sydney, Australia.
MMA Fighting confirmed the switch Wednesday morning following a social media announcement made by Rawlings.
Clark (7-4) was already readying for a Dec. 8 showdown against Vanessa Porto scheduled to take place at Invicta FC 26. The 29-year-old Sydney native has gone 2-2 over her last four fights, all of which were contested at bantamweight.
