Joanna Jedrzejczyk to female flyweights: ‘Don’t be jealous,’ you don’t have my ‘big legacy’

Former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk was on the Ariel Helwani MMA Show on ESPN on Monday. At the beginning of their interview, Helwani told the Polish striker that many of the UFC’s female flyweights were not happy about her jumping the line to fight Valentina Shevchenko for the vacant 125-pound title.

To this revelation, Jedrzejczyk had something to say.

“I’m so sorry, don’t be jealous,” Jedrzejczyk said (transcript via MMA Mania). “There are not so many dedicated fighters like me and not that many with that big legacy.”

“I am always willing to fight and UFC knows this.
