Jiu-jitsu ace Rodolfo Vieira to make UFC debut against Oskar Piechota in Uruguay

Multiple-time jiu-jitsu world champion and ADCC gold medalist Rodolfo Vieira is set to make his first walk to the Octagon.

MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz confirmed with sources that Vieira (5-0) will make his UFC debut against Oskar Piechota (11-1-1) at the promotion’s upcoming visit to Montevideo, Uruguay, on Aug. 10.

Vieira is unbeaten since making his pro MMA debut in February 2017. This past weekend, he picked up a first-round submission win over Vitaliy Nemchinov in Poland. The 29-year-old Brazilian has finished all of his fights thus far.

Piechota, a former Cage Warriors middleweight champion, will be making his first appearance of 2019 after losing to Gerald Meerschaert by submission last July.
