Former UFC strawweight champion Jessica Andrade is on her way up to flyweight.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported on Thursday that Andrade is lined up for a fight with former flyweight title challenger Jessica Eye, with October 17th as the target date.
Andrade (20-8) is on a two-fight losing streak, having immediately lost her strawweight belt to Zhang Weili in just 42 seconds, followed by a split decision defeat to Rose Namajunas, the woman she defeated to capture UFC gold. The Brazilian dropped to strawweight in 2016 after competing as a bantamweight, and it took her little time to become a contender and eventually a champion.
