Former UFC strawweight champion Jessica Andrade wants to change things up in the post-pandemic world, moving to Las Vegas with her coach and main training partners.
“Bate Estaca,” coach Gilliard Parana and PRVT teammates flew to Las Vegas in early-April to make sure travel restrictions wouldn’t prevent her from facing Rose Namajunas on April 18. However, Anrade and her team had to return to Niteroi, Brazil, when the matchup fell through and the whole UFC 249 show was eventually shut down in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
During their stay in Las Vegas, Andrade’s crew were looking for a place to train and got in touch with experienced strength and conditioning coach Rafael Alejarra, who just finished building his new gym in the city but hasn’t had the chance to open it due to the coronavirus outbreak.
