Since her first UFC loss in the hands of Holly Holm in November 2015, many have been pinning the blame on her current striking coach Edmond Taverdyan. Even Nick Diaz’s boxing coach Richard Perez questioned the manner of which Rousey is being trained over at the Glendale Fighting Club.
Recently, Jeff Mayweather echoed the same opinions, stating that Rousey should “get a real boxing coach.”
“I think if she doesn’t, she might as well just retire,” Mayweather told Helen Yee of Eyes on the Game. “If she continues doing what she’s doing with the same guy, she’s not gonna get no better.
